| In the words of Jim from the Office, "Lord, beer me strength". haha
But really Lord, there a few moments where I've felt like I'm at a crossroads. This is one of them. It's funny how sometimes we feel like we aren't moving in life or walking down a road, and we ask God to open more doors, but the moment He does, we wish He'd simplify it and just tell us what to do.
It's great though, when you know it's time to make some real decisive moves in life cause it pushes the limits of your faith, and reveals how big God is to you.
oh that's so wierd, I just opened this email, like this second and Justin, from my prayer group wrote this:
"Hey yall
got a word this week for us. Looks like God is pouring out the new
wine in this season and God has gathered us as a new wine skin to hold
this new wine. Old rigid wine skins would burst if new wine was poured
into them, so lets be open and flexible to what God is doing. IT is a
bit scary when God starts doing new stuff, but lets not try to fit it
into what we have seen before (the old wineskin). The truth is, there
is nothing new under the sun and what seems new to us is not new to
God. Also, in the natural, new wine is harder to palate than old wine.
People like aged wine better, so we have to receive the new wine into a
new flexible wineskin and be able to let it mature, or age over time so
that more people will be able to receive it.
All the manifestation that is coming and is here, may seem new to
us and may offend us, but lets not fear and miss what God is doing.
blessings!"
Thanks Justin, and Thanks God!
Wow, speaking of God flipping things around. I was hesitating to share some things in this blog, but it's obvious God knows what's really going on in my mind and heart. Before writing this, I was hanging out with a very special person in my life, and through our talk, I realized that a big chapter of my life was ending. And it really hurts even though I kinda knew it was going to happen. But like this email says it's cause at the same time God's opening a huge and very new chapter in other areas of my life.
Wow, just like chapters in a book, there are big ups and downs that have to happen and they only get bigger with each chapter, but what's really important is how these events change the character(s) forever. hmmm... well here's to a new chapter of life.
Thanks God, for not letting me dwell so much on the sadness of a closing chapter but realizing what new chapters lie ahead. I pray you free me of any thoughts or habits that may obstruct me from being ready for this new wine.

Ok so I had more time on my project and put some final touches. This is the new version, I took the old one down. I thought since it's a warrior angel, I added the blood because my angel kicksass! Man do i spoil my angel or what? i had to put my name as part of the requirements for the project, although i'd rather have it off. but let me know what you guys think. have a great week everyone! | | |

I did this in Illustrator for one of my classes, it's my Self-Portrait.
Let me explain the story behind it. My friend, Claudia, opened my up to the thought of angels being present. I never gave them much thought, just that they looked like babies in Michelangelo paintings. But that's all changed when Claudia told me she saw an image of my warrior angel standing to my right and to move my arm through the area. I did and I felt a change in air temperature. That was cool, but the real kicker was my dream about 2 weeks ago. I was looking out a window, and I saw my angel looking back at me. My angel was about half a foot taller than me, full of light from wing to wing. So that's the angel. As for me I'm crying cause I've never cried so much in my life. When the Holy Spirit moves, you'll feel it, and for me, it's tears, lots of them. Mostly God's healing some tough issues in my life so I don't expect the tears to stop anytime soon, hence "Season".
But I'm looking forward to what God's going to do with me, and you know it's only gonna get better with time. Just check out this verse. I love this imagery.
Revelation 21:3-7 3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." 5He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 6He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

| It's been a little over a month since God heard my cry. And what a month it has been!!!
You can't imagine the place God took me from and where He has me now. And all it took was one truth to resinate in my heart.
"God loves me"
By resinate I mean RESINAAAAAAAAAAAATE!
There were so many thoughts in my head just floating around telling me "I'm not capable", "I'm not good enough", "I've failure and it's going to stay that way".
"God Loves ME"
I'd find myself reliving moments of shame and disgrace over and over, until I thought I must be that person. I carried that with me thinking people could see the dirt all over me.
"God loves me!"
This truth was permanently pressed on my heart when a friend who I met only a few weeks ago prayed for me. She prayed out of her gift of inner healing, and she called out the deepest lies that had been a leech to my heart. She didn't know me, in fact, no one knew this side of me, but God gave her words of knowledge to speak to me, and let me know He knew. He knew me, He knew the deep things of my heart. He told me this so the truth that "He loves me" would not be received as words from a friend, but words from a father, from a creator, from the only one that knows the real me, knows my dreams and passions, and knows the void in my heart was meant to be filled by His love for me.
"God Loves YOU"
I'd like to pass this truth on, if anyone reading this has been carrying around shame or fear, take this truth and let it resinate. Listen to how God may be speaking those words to you. Through a friend, through something you read, through something you see, or a dream, God will use whatever it takes to let you know He loves you, because that's what love is. Love is relentless, Love will fight for you, Love will never stop because we sin, Love will only want the best for you, Love doesn't look at a person's shortcomings, but looks at every great man and woman that lies within us and wants nothing more than to see every person step into that greatness God has created in us. The only thing stopping us, is us. God's love is knocking, it's up to us to answer the door and let Him in.

| Rrrr.. so adventurous this weekend be, so much so i must document it. (p.s. - Pirate talk in respect for Pirates 3 which I saw on friday).
So the trip to Grand Canyon began early saturday mornin, 7am. Thinh, Jen, Helen, Charles and me (kumquaders/small group) came together at Charles house. We hauled butt to the state line. We made it to the Canyon in 7.5 hours, there wasn't much action except the cop that pulled me over, and made me wish i lived in Arizona for one day in june so i could go to the court date on my citation and make him look like a fart for thinking he can somehow get an accurate reading with his radar while driving opposite of me on a road....that's another story.
Anyways, did i say this Canyon was Grand?!!!
well it was! When we got there, we got to the South Rim entrance and made our way to the cliffs. Of course i've seen this view before, when i was with my parents the first time. being 12 is very limiting, especially when you want to dangle your legs off the edge of the cliff. so kids! you can look forward to doing that the moment you move out of your house. oh and to anyone thinking of going to see Skywalk, the glass walkway suspended above the Grand Canyon, save your $75, and just dangle your legs off the cliff, or lay face down with your head hanging off the cliff, i should have tried that. well i have something to look forward to, now.
So that's just a warm up.
Sunday, we headed an hour west to Havasaupai Reservation. Our goal - hike to the base of the canyon to see the Havasu Falls. This is an 8 mile hike down to the falls, and 8 back up, which most people don't do in one day, but that's just most people, luckly most people aren't Kumquads. So off we went.
I don't know if i'm a closet rock climber, but for some reason, every rock seemed to cry out to me, "Climb me, Climb me, you know you want to". how did they know! on our trek down, my teammates were stopping for pics and checking out the views, while i was stopping to climb the crevis of a rock or hop off a boulder. that's the reason there's no pics on this blog, i'll put them up once i'm able to get them from my teammates. We made it down to the indian reservation in 3 hours and were able to stop for some popsicles and arizona tea. A friendly couple, who i like to refer to as Angels, gave me blister bandages for my feet. I was wearing some bad running shoes, so it made a great home for a prolific blister colony.
so after chatting with some of the locals and seeing the livestock, we made our way to the waterfalls. so how we picked up a stray dog, who happened to like following me. I thought it was just because of my terrific connection with animals, but soon i found out it was cause the sandwich i was carrying was dangling from my backpack. Mr. Smarty Dog knew it was just a matter of time before he would enjoy a roast beef and cheddar sandwich for lunch. So just to clear up things, there are actually three recognized waterfalls at this place. We past the first one, which we didn't really see but only heard the rushing waters. The second was Havasu Falls and the third was another hour down the road but we didn't have time for that one. They have lodging down there so maybe next time, when things are planned and reservations are made, all three falls can be explored to one's satisfaction.
Havasu Falls, Amazing! just imagine someone taking a beautiful waterfall from Hawaii and placing it in the center of hugest desert crack on earth. And not many people know about it. It was awesome. There were maybe 25-30 people hanging around a 100 ft waterfall, with beautiful blue pools of water to wake in. Our team forgot to bring suitwear down, but that didn't stop Thinh and I from going all in. My most rewarding moment besides getting back to the top of the canyon before sunset, was jumping off a rock into the waterfall and being blasted by the sleer force of the falls. It's literally like a huge fire hose being shot directly at you from 20 feet away. We took a good hour to eat our lunch and relax by the pool, and then we were back on the dirt/rocky road from whence we came from. Surprisingly it only took 4.5 hours to get back. People were telling us that it would take twice as long to go up then down, but i'm convinced that the human will knows no limits.
...it's 3am, More to come tomorrow...
So being back at the car was rewarding enough, but God hooked it up with an awesome sunset. (pic to come).
Adventures didn't end there. As we cruised down to route 66 to find a motel. There were animals darting across the road, like it was a game of frogger, and don't forget the sun had already checked out for the night.
It was on this road, route 18, that we realized that cows are like deer except fatter. It wasn't more than 30 mins that we came face to face with a black cow. Going 60 mph, we swerved to the opposing lane, missing the cows nose by less than a foot. If we were going any faster, or if i didn't scream cow, or if Thinh wasn't driving, we would have been eating dashboard. from that point on, no one slept on the drive.
I'd like to say we didn't hit any animals, but sadly, some jack rabbits just love playing chicken with Mazda MPVs. (pic to come, maybe)
So exhausted and fatigued, all we want is to find a place to sleep. The first place we come across looked like it was straight out of a horror flick. The only lights on were the Vacancy and half the letters of the name of the Inn. I couldn't even guess what the name was, cause so many letters were out. No room lights were on, just 2 or 3 beat up cars were outside, and the office had the Open light on but no lights on inside. I actually wanted to try it out just for the sake of seeing what would happen but the ladies weren't having it. We finally found a place for $56 for one room. We dropped our bags and looked for food, no place was open except a gas station, which we ate at. Everything would have been fine except the sound of a radio station that plays the audio of old tv shows about cowboys, indians, and alien invaders. The narrator seemed to enjoy the would "Kill" cause he kept repeating it in a sadistic way.
After a long hike and exhaustion, it actually didn't same that psychotic. I could kind of understand in a weird freakish way.
I think i just lost a couple friends just now. haha. anyways. thanks those that read all this. i just felt so good about this weekend that i needed to write it out and remember it.
well til the next adventure, yall take care now. YEEEHAAAa!
